Housing Choices WA is set to provide social homes in the North Metropolitan region due to a $2.6 million Community Housing New Build Grant.

This partnership with the State Government will result in the construction of six homes, each featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms, in Viveash.

Devplex has commenced construction, and the project is expected to be completed in late 2026.

Once completed, these six new homes will add to the more than 3,100 homes already delivered since 2021.

As stated by Housing and Works Minister John Carey:

"We are doing everything we can to boost housing supply across the State and to grow the community housing sector in WA.

"Thanks to a $2.6 million Community Housing New Build Grant, the State Government has been able to partner with Housing Choices WA to provide these six new homes.

"Our government has invested a record $5.8 billion in housing and homelessness measures since 2021, adding more than 3,100 social homes, with another 1,000 under contract or construction."

As stated by Midland MLA Steve Catania:

"I welcome the construction of six more community homes in the Midland electorate.

"I'm proud to be part of a government that is working incredibly hard on delivering much-needed housing in the metro area.

"These homes are a response to our community's needs and will ensure that more locals can live securely and comfortably."
