2019 Australia Post Online Retail Industry Awards Winners announced

The 2019 Australia Post Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAS) winners were announced on July 25th at the ICC Sydney Grand Ballroom,with 1,000 guests present – the biggest year in the event’s 10-year history.

Guests indulged in an evening of entertainment as they acknowledged the perseverance, commitment, and exceptional achievements of Australia’s top e-commerce leaders.

The Australia Post ORIAS has established itself as Australia’s most prestigious retail awards program, acknowledging the expertise of Australia’s trailblazing multichannel and online retailing pioneers.

The event was hosted by the talented David Campbell, stage performer, television presenter and one of Australia’s most loved and iconic singers. Guests were given a world-class show as they enjoyed a performance by Dance Dance Dance, a group of ballroom dancers with a quick-change adagio couple.

The diverse array of winners spanned across multiple retail categories and included leading domestic and global brands. These categories included the most coveted two Australia Post People’s Choice Awards (Large Retailer and Small Retailers); Best Pureplay Retailer; Best Small Independent Retailer; Best Multichannel Retailer; Best Online Retail Marketing; Best In-Store Initiative; Technology Champion; Customer Service Excellence; Best Small Independent Retailer; Best Social Commerce Initiative; International Conqueror; Hall of Fame; Online Retailer of the Year, and the Industry Recognition Award.

The partnership with Australia Post and the People’s Choice Awards continues to drive further growth and submissions for the ORIAS.

The award judges reflected a cross-section of the retail community, having been meticulously selected by event organisers to ensure that the highest quality and integrity was maintained. 

The judges included Head Judge, Nardia Dazkiw (Fancy Films), Matt Smith (Online Retailer Conference & Expo), Ben Franzi (Australia Post), Alita Harvey-Rodriguez (Managing Director at MI Academy), Kelly Stickel (Remodista), Matt Newell (Executive Strategy Director at The General Store), Monica Rosenfeld (Wordstorm PR), Louisa Simpson (Practical Ecommerce Consulting) and Alanna Bastin-Byrne (Femeconomy).
