Malak Preschool has been recognised for its outstanding research culture of professional inquiry, to inform effective pedagogy, improve child oral language, and promote child voice. The program has evolved from a deliberate inquiry process and reach, to understand effective early childhood teaching practices and impacts across local and inter/national contexts.

Quotes from Minister for Education Eva Lawler

"We know the first five years of a child's life is integral to their ongoing success. Our early childhood and care educators work hard to provide enriched learning experiences and positive influences on our children.

"Thank you for ongoing commitment to the sector. Your work makes a big difference to the lives of children and their families.

"This is also the first time we have seen awards going to two male educators and it is great to see men represented in the early childhood sector."
