2022 Sydney Writers' Festival at Hawkesbury Central Library

Hawkesbury Library Service is pleased to be participating in the Sydney Writers' Festival for 2022.

On Thursday 19 May, 6.30pm - 7.30pm, Hawkesbury Library Service will be hosting a conversation between Christian White, screenwriter, and bestselling author who will be discussing his recent book, Wild Place with Catherine du Peloux Menage, Artistic Director of the BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival.

Christian White's debut novel, The Nowhere Child was one of Australia's bestselling debut novels and his second book, The Wife and the Widow, was published in 2019 and became an instant bestseller. Clickbait, a television series Christian co created, was released by Netflix in 2021 and went straight to number-one in 41 countries.

The setting of his third novel Wild Place is modelled on the area of the Mornington Peninsular where he grew up. Hear Christian discuss Wild Place, a thriller that peels back the layers of suburbia, exposing what's hidden underneath. He also attempts to answer the question: why do good people do bad things?

Copies of Christian's book will be available for purchase and signing on the night. This is a free event and bookings are essential, via www.hawkesburylibrary.eventbrite.com
