Rockhampton Regional Council will hold a 2026 Apprentice and Trainee Program Information Session next Tuesday 12 August at City Hall in the Jim Webber Room.

Interested applicants are encouraged to drop in anytime between 3pm and 6pm to learn about the apprentice and traineeship opportunities available.

The 2026 program includes nine Business Administration, four Civil Construction, four Horticulture and one Live Production traineeships, and one Mechanic Apprenticeship, which will commence in early January.

At the session, attendees can explore the range of roles on offer, discover what each position involves and where it could lead, and hear first-hand from current Council employees about their experiences.

Council staff will be available to answer questions and provide guidance on the application process.

Applications for the 2026 Apprentice and Trainee Program are open now and close Monday 1 September.
