2026 Community Awards - And Winners Are

Council has recognised the exceptional individuals and groups helping shape a strong, inclusive and vibrant community through the 2026 Macedon Ranges Celebrating Community event.

Held on Friday 22 May during National Volunteer Week, the event included special recognition for community volunteers and leaders, as well as an award ceremony for the Community Awards program.

This year's award recipients represent the breadth of contribution across the shire - from youth leadership and environmental stewardship to arts, wellbeing and community inclusion - highlighting the vital role passionate locals play in building connected communities.

Mayor Kate Kendall said the award recipients exemplify the spirit of the community that defines the Macedon Ranges.

"These award winners are making a real difference - often quietly, and without expectation of their recognition. Their contributions strengthen our communities, support others, and help make the Macedon Ranges such a special place to live," she said.
