Local businesses were honoured at the 2026 Corangamite Business Awards Night on Wednesday 17 June, celebrating innovation, dedication and excellence across a wide range of industries.
The event brought together people from across the Shire to connect, network, and celebrate local success stories. Fifteen outstanding finalists were recognised for their achievements and contributions to the local economy, with five category winners announced on the night.
This year's winners are:

The business strengthens the visitor economy through partnerships with local providers and has a focus on sustainable tourism and future growth.
Each finalist received a professional photography and promotion package, and the five category winners were also awarded a $2,000 radio advertising package, proudly sponsored by Ace Radio.
Corangamite Shire Mayor Kate Makin congratulated all finalists and winners.
"These awards are not just about success, they also give us the chance to showcase and celebrate the exceptional businesses that shape our communities," Cr Makin said.
"I give my heartfelt congratulations to all the finalists and winners. Your innovation, dedication and resilience truly help make Corangamite a wonderful place to live and work."
As part of the Awards night, Cr Kate Makin made a special announcement about a new initiative to support buying local – the Why Leave Town Gift Card program.
"This program is all about keeping money local, supporting businesses across the shire and helping our communities thrive," Cr Makin said.
"Every dollar spent on these gift cards can only be spent within Corangamite."
Registrations are now open for businesses to sign up to be part of the program. It's free and any business can be part of the program.
"We know that when people spend locally, the benefits flow far beyond a single purchase - supporting jobs, strengthening businesses and helping keep our towns vibrant," Cr Makin said.
"I encourage local businesses to sign up to the program, and for our community to consider the gift cards when they are looking for a present. It's a simple way to support local businesses while giving people the flexibility to choose their own gift."
