Kiama Counci's tourism arm Destination Kiama is proud to announce the launch of the 2026 Kiama Visitor Guide, with the official unveiling at last week's Tourism After Hours event in Kiama.
The Kiama 2026 Visitor Guide is your ultimate passport to everything that makes our little corner of the coast so irresistible. From gorgeous beaches and scenic walks to quirky shops, markets, arts, and amazing food, this guide shows off the best of the Kiama area for first-timers and might provide some staycation ideas for locals too!
This year's edition comes hot on the heels of Kiama being named a back-to-back NSW Top Tourism Town, cementing its status as a standout destination for travellers from across Australia and beyond.
Kiama Mayor Cameron McDonald said: "I'm delighted to present the 2026 Kiama Visitor Guide, a celebration of everything that makes our region special. From sun‑drenched beaches and walking trails to vibrant arts, local food, and a growing evening scene, this guide captures the spirit of Kiama. We hope it inspires everyone: families, first‑time visitors or those who keep returning, to explore, enjoy, and fall in love with our coast all over again."
The guide has been freshly designed to help everyone plan their perfect trip. Families, pet owners, visitors with additional needs, and night owls will all find handy tips and dedicated sections, including a brand-new "Kiama After Dark" feature for exploring our nightlife.
And let's talk covers - the iconic Kiama Lighthouse, captured beautifully by local photographer Belinda Doyle, takes pride of place. "It just feels right to go back to the lighthouse and blowhole - it's unmistakably Kiama," said Kiama Tourism & Economic Advisory Committee Chair Councillor Matt Brown.
The guide is a proper community effort, with creative contributions from local photographers, layout by Kiama-based Switch-up Design, and graphic elements by local Aboriginal Elder Aunty Jodie Stewart.
