The Cook and Albanese Labor Governments are partnering with community housing provider Advance Housing to deliver 36 new social and affordable rental dwellings in Albany's growing Bayonet Head community.
The State Government is committing $11.08 million in grant funding to support the project.
The project will also receive nearly $9.5 million in support from the Commonwealth Government through Housing Australia, with the remainder of the $21.8 million project funded by Advance Housing.
The development will deliver a mix of 25 social housing dwellings and 11 affordable rental dwellings designed to meet the needs of singles and small families in the Great Southern.
All homes will be constructed to the Gold Livable Housing Australia Design Standard.
Advance Housing is an Albany-based not-for-profit organisation that has been providing affordable housing assistance in the Great Southern region for more than 25 years and currently manages more than 400 social housing properties.
The project is forecast to reach practical completion in late 2027.
