$3.4M Grant Adds Eight Falcon Social Housing Units

Housing Choices Western Australia have received over $3.4 million to develop a two-storey development comprising of eight apartments in Falcon.

The State Government's Community Housing New Build grant will help deliver eight two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments will be constructed in three separate buildings.

Housing Choices WA will manage and deliver the apartments, providing inclusive and affordable housing choices in an area of high demand.

The development is being constructed by Dale Alcock Homes and is expected to reach completion in early 2026.

As stated by Housing and Works Minister John Carey:

"The State Government is doing everything it can to bolster the supply of housing throughout Western Australia - including investing a record $5.1 billion in housing and homelessness measures.

"We've added more than 3,000 social homes with more than 1,000 social homes currently under contract or construction throughout Western Australia.

"This $3.4 million grant for Housing Choices WA will mean eight more social homes for those in need in an area of high demand."

As stated by Dawesville MLA Lisa Munday:

"I live in Falcon and this is fantastic news for our community.

"The $3.4 million funding commitment will go a long way toward delivering much-needed housing in the Mandurah area.

"I welcome this strong investment from the State Government, which is committed to addressing housing needs in our region."
