- Collie Motorplex upgrades and new short-stay tourist accommodation among projects awarded funding by the Cook Labor Government

The Cook Labor Government continues to invest in Collie's transition, announcing $4 million towards new short-stay accommodation and almost $500,000 for upgrading the Collie Motorplex.
A $4 million grant through the Collie Industry Attraction and Development Fund will assist Numans Accommodation Villages to establish a new caravan park at nearby Allanson.
Incorporating a farm shop and caf-style restaurant, stage one of the new development will increase accommodation options for visitors by offering a mix of caravan sites and chalets.
A total of $499,266 from the Collie Futures Industry Development Fund will support upgrades to the Collie Motorplex. The Motorplex, which attracts motoring enthusiasts to town, will undergo an upgrade of the track and facilities. The enhancements will include upgrades to the pit facilities including construction of new carports.
The latest funding allocations build on the Cook Labor Government's significant investment in Collie, including tourism experiences and attractions such as the Wellington Dam Mural and walkway, and adventure trails.
To further set up Collie for a strong future, the Cook Labor Government is also once again backing the aspirations of local businesses through the Collie Futures Small Grants Program.
A total of $71,304 through the Collie Futures Small Grants Program will enable Barn-Zee's Burgers and Barista to upgrade and expand to meet demand.
Coastal Freightlines has been awarded $50,000 to expand its fleet to support the increasing needs of businesses and industries in the Collie area.
As part of Collie's Just Transition, the Cook Labor Government is attracting new industries and putting training opportunities in place as the economy transitions away from coal.
