$4.8M Boost for Youth Homelessness Support

Vinnies WA received $4.8 million in State Government funding to enable the Passages Youth Engagement Hub to continue to provide vital homelessness services to youth.

The hub, located on Edward Street in Perth, provides a place for young people aged 12 - 25 and experiencing or at risk of homelessness, with a safe, friendly and positive place to access support and referrals to essential services.

This funding supports the implementation of All Paths Lead to a Home: Western Australia's 10-Year Strategy on Homelessness 2020-30.

The funding announcement comes during Homelessness Week, which runs from 4-10 August and is part of reforms to support Western Australians at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

This year's Homelessness Week theme is "Homelessness Action Now" which highlights the need for collaboration across all levels of government and the community service sector to address homelessness.
