"The best thing of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Summer Program is that I have a chance to put my knowledge learnt from school into practice by participating in the operation of ancompany," said ZHU Zhenghao, an economics student at Taiwan Chengchi University.

Aiming to share entrepreneurial opportunities and facilitate the communication of students from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Summer Program is a program co-organized by Zhejiang University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Taiwan Chengchi University. The summer program is held in turn in Zhejiang, Hong Kong and Taiwan annually. From July 7 to 13, 40 students from Zhejiang University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Taiwan Chengchi University gathered in Hangzhou for the 4th Innovation & Entrepreneurship Summer Program. Three tutors, Dr. XIANG Jian from ZJU's School of Management, Assoc. Prof. Jyh-Fu Jeng from Taiwan Chengchi University and Dr. Eric Lam from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University held the workshop and helped the students with their business projects.

The summer program includes innovation and entrepreneurship workshop, company visit, cultural immersion and business project. This year, the summer program practice becomes more in-depth. After visiting the Geely company and Hangzhou Cloud Town, an enterprise center in the western part of Hangzhou, students were divided into groups to have a customized tour in companies such as Hangzhou Shike, Daddy Lab, and Manku. During the workshop, students also had the chance to study the business environments of different regions and interact with entrepreneurs.

"What's special about this summer program is the mixture of theory and practice. I gained a lot from the lectures given by tutors. I also made good friends with students from Hong Kong and Taiwan," said HUANG Wenxuan, a student at ZJU's School of Management.
