A range of free activities on offer these School Holidays

City of Darwin Libraries and LAUNCH youth program are offering a range of free activities these school holidays, 30 September - 13 October - from indoor to active outdoor activities.

Libraries are offering activities for under 12's and the City of Darwin LAUNCH team is offering a full program for young people 12-25 years.

Libraries have partnered with Northern Territory Emergency Services to offer free education 'Be Aware - Prepare!' to teach young Territorians how to prepare for flood, cyclone and storm emergencies these October School Holidays.

Children will learn how to develop a family emergency plan, keep a home emergency kit, what to do during extreme weather conditions, how to care for their pets and what shelter options are best during a storm or cyclone.

There are many more fun and free activities on offer at Karama, Casuarina, Nightcliff and Darwin libraries including Upcycled Hats, Grandad's Farm with Ricky Possum, Tech Zone, Lego Club, Steam Zone, Children's Programs, Movies, Scavenger Hunt and Story Time.

LAUNCH Activities include Pet First Aid, Skate Night, Tech Zone, an AFL Clinic and a gaming tournament.
