AACTA Audience Choice awards set to return in 2022

The AACTA Awards along with the AACTA Audience Choice Awards return in what has been an incredible year for Australian film and television.

The Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts (AACTA) are pleased to announce the 2022 AACTA Awards presented by Foxtel Group will be held on Wednesday, December 7 at The Hordern, in Sydney's iconic Entertainment Quarter, home of Fox Studios. The AACTA Awards will honour and celebrate some of the best and most compelling film, television and digital entertainment from the past year.

Screen-lovers across the country can, once again, get involved in this year's awards by voting for their favourite films, actors, TV shows, sports entertainment and digital creators in the AACTA Audience Choice Awards supported by News Corp, with all voting happening via news.com.au. The results will be presented live during the 2022 AACTA Awards ceremony on Wednesday December 7. For the first time in two years, the public will be able to purchase tickets to attend the Awards ceremony in Sydney, walk the red carpet, and be immersed in the glamour and spectacle at one of the biggest events in Australian entertainment.

AACTA CEO Damian Trewhella said, "The AACTA Audience Choice Awards are a fantastic opportunity for the nation to show their appreciation for the incredible films, TV shows and talent that keep us entertained. This year, we're excited to introduce two new sports categories, recognising the craft and storytelling of our favourite sports programs and commentary teams. Australian productions are renowned around the nation and across the world and we look forward to celebrating with this year's publicly voted winners and nominees in Sydney in December."

Australians across the nation will determine the winners of the AACTA Audience Choice Awards.
