Acting Assistant Secretary for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs Jennifer R. Littlejohn will lead a U.S. delegation, to New York, New York, to mark the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) global observance day on June 16.

The delegation, including representatives from the Department of the Interior, will join international counterparts to build global momentum to strengthen women's land rights - a crucial component in addressing the desertification challenges faced by many countries.
