Aggravated robbery investigation underway - Bondi

An investigation is underway following an incident in Bondi overnight.

Just after 1.30am (Wednesday 27 November 2019), a 22-year-old man was making a delivery in Notts Avenue. As he returned to his van he was confronted by an unknown man who demanded his backpack.

The man grabbed the backpack and ran towards Campbell Parade and was chased by the other man.

The unknown man turned out and punched the 22-year-old man to the face causing him to fall to the ground.

Several occupants from a nearby car joined in and continued assaulting him and stole other personal items.

About 1.40am two men entered the premises and removed the till.

One of the men was confronted by two men working inside the club and a physical altercation commenced between them, resulting in him dropping the till and running from the club towards a waiting car.

A 35-year-old man attended Prince of Wales Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command established a crime scene, and investigations are continuing.
