Air University is improving the transcript request process following the integration of the Community College of the Air Force into the Air University Student Information System.
Following the intent of AF Doctrine Publication 1-1, Mission Command, Air University has consolidated all Registrar functions from both CCAF and Professional Military Education programs (ex. Air Command and Staff College) to centralize command, distribute control effectively, and match authorities and responsibilities across the AU enterprise.
Air University Registrar's office is focused on improving online resources and enhanced customer support. Air University handles about 10,000 transcript requests per month and is applying the latest automation tools to streamline the request process. Most requests are from Airmen and veterans seeking diplomas or transcripts of completed courses towards a CCAF applied science associate's degree. AU has significantly reduced the wait-time through continuous process improvement for Airmen and veterans and continues to focus on speeding up delivery. To ensure accuracy, some transcript requests take 30 business days to process, though many are completed more quickly. "We are committed to providing a seamless and efficient process for accessing transcripts and resolving any other academic-related issues as quickly as possible. We are accelerating delivery times through continuous improvement" stated a spokesperson for Air University.
