Albany Then & Now: Historical Panoramas ofMenangNoongarBoodjais the latest exhibition to open at the Museum of the GreatSouthern andis the first major event foreshadowing 'Albany 2026' -a year of culture, reflection, and connection.
The exhibitioninvites visitors toexplore the history ofAlbanyby journeying throughtime with sweeping views captured from iconic vantage points acrossthe city.
Thefeaturepiece of the exhibition isa large, curved screenshowcasingan immersive audio-visual experience narrated by local Elders and historians.
Complementing the panoramic experience is the Hub Zone, designed for children to explore the history of the town through creative engagement.
This exhibition has been developed by the Western Australian Museum in partnership with Curtin University Hub for Immersive Visualisation and eResearch and the State Library of Western Australia, with support from the City of Albany andLotterywest.
On show at the Museum of the Great Southern on Residency Road, Albany, the exhibition is freeand open from 12 December 2025 until1 June 2026.
