ALLY Infrastructure has been appointed to finalise the design and construct upgrades to three key town centres across Campbelltown, including Campbelltown City Centre, Glenfield Town Centre and Ingleburn Town Centre.
Work will see Lithgow Street and the 'On Q' plaza in the Campbelltown City Centre transform into a more pedestrian friendly space, enhancing the Queen Street Precinct to support events, activities and everyday use. Artist Feras Shaheen has been commissioned to create an installation that celebrates the unique local identity of the precinct.
Railway Parade in Glenfield Town Centre will soon better support the diverse mix of uses with new shared pathways, pedestrian crossings, landscaping, street furnishings and public art produced by artist, Anney Bounpraseuth.
The lower end Oxford Road at Nardoo Street and Macquarie Street in Ingleburn Town Centre will see the delivery of cultural art and enhancement infrastructure, including improvements in lighting, amenities, event readiness and traffic management, as well as public art, led by artists Jezzy Fezzy & Jesscia Pound.
"These projects will help shape the future of our town centres and will deliver functional, connected places that reflects the growth of our community," Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Darcy Lound said.
"It's about creating places that people want to spend time in, whether they're visiting local businesses or meeting with friends, the improvements made across Glenfield, Campbelltown and Ingleburn will help make these places more welcoming and accessible for everyone," Cr Lound said.
"We're excited to welcome ALLY Infrastructure on board as the contractor for this project. Their expertise will help bring these projects to life and we look forward to working together to deliver upgraded town centres that will support the future growth of our city," he said.
With a combined budget of $16million, these projects represent a significant investment in upgrading Campbelltown's major precincts, transforming each location into a more attractive, accessible and vibrant public space.
"These important projects will deliver usable spaces for our community to come together to eat, celebrate, meet friends and enjoy our fantastic many fantastic local businesses," said Member for Campbelltown, Greg Warren MP.
Member for Macquarie Fields, Anoulack Chanthivong MP, said he welcomed upgrades to the Ingleburn and Glenfield town centres.
"These exciting projects will significantly enhance the Ingleburn and Glenfield town centres to create vibrant, thriving, and connected spaces for our growing community to enjoy."
As a part of the tender package, Ally Civil has also been appointed to finalise the design and construct the Macarthur Recreational Trail and Campbelltown Health and Education Precinct projects.

The projects are set to begin construction by late 2026, with anticipated completion in 2028.
Community are invited to see what's planned for the Town Centres, with community consultation open now until Friday 16 October.
