At Unified Wine and Grape Symposium in California, Amcor will feature products and value-driven services that are designed to support wine businesses in accelerating innovation, brand success and performance.
ZURICH, December 2, 2025 - Amcor, a global leader in responsible packaging, will showcase its latest offerings for the wine market at the Unified Wine and Grape Symposium 2026. Held in Sacramento, California, from January 28-29, Unified is North America's largest trade show for the wine and grape industry. The event will give attendees the opportunity to explore Amcor's featured offering, which includes brand enhancement options, technical support for customers' bottling lines, more sustainable packaging alternatives and enhanced closure performance over the life of the wine.
Wineries face multiple challenges today, such as accelerated timelines, rising sustainability expectations, competition on the shelf, and the constant need to maintain product quality. Amcor stands as a partner to help simplify this complexity.
In line with growing consumer expectations for more environmentally conscious products, Amcor continues to invest in more sustainable materials as part of its Transparence Program, a sustainability initiative focused on reducing environmental impact in the wine and spirits industry based on three pillars: Reduce, Recycle and Respect. At the upcoming Unified Wine and Grape Symposium, Amcor will highlight its work under the Recycle pillar, which includes introducing more recycled content into its wine and spirits products.
In line with this commitment is Softgard, a tin capsule made with more than 90% recycled material*. Sourced from end-of-life products, such as ship propellers to bronze ornaments, this tin is given a second life. Once refined, it becomes a wine and spirit overcap that has a smooth feel and maintains the highest quality standards. In addition to its more sustainable composition, the overcap can be customized, allowing wineries to elevate their packaging with premium finishes, distinctive colors, and embossed or printed designs that reflect their brand identity.
Customization options play a key role in shelf-differentiation. Wine brands can stand out on a crowded shelf with colors and textures that enhance visual appeal and tactile experience.
To support wineries' brand expression, ShapeArt custom shapes and textures was created. The Amcor team at Unified will guide winemakers through ShapeArt's options for unique forms, print features and tactile finishes. They'll also walk winemakers through the services that enable a custom closure; from creative design support, to technical trials, to hands-on support on the customer's bottling process.
To support wineries in meeting the needs of fast paced and competitive markets, the Amcor booth at Unified will also feature its make-to-stock product range. The STELVIN® ColourSprint portfolio offers the iconic Stelvin® screwcap closure in core colours, including ColourSprint Extra Matte options. Finally, the STELVIN® ColourSprint Signature option allows for simple customizations while still keeping to the collection's short lead times. The ColourSprint range is available for shipment within two to three weeks after order placement, depending on the selected finish.
Members of Amcor's Field Technical Service (FTS) team will also attend the Unified show to advise visitors on the technicalities of running screwcap closures, overcaps and hoods on their bottling lines. The Amcor FTS team provides hands-on support throughout the packaging validation period, quickly addressing any technical challenges that arise. The team helps wine bottlers optimize their equipment, supports trials of new machines and new packaging, and offers expert advice on both machinery and packaging.
As the wine industry continues to evolve, Unified offers an opportunity for meaningful dialogue around the future of wine and wine packaging. Amcor looks forward to sharing its latest developments, listening to the needs of producers, and contributing to conversations on how packaging can better support quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
The Amcor team and products can be found at the Unified Wine and Grape Symposium from January 28 - 29 at exhibit halls A-D, Level 1, Booth 324.
