An orchid palm tree has appeared in TSU Siberian Botanical Garden

An orchid palm tree has appeared in the tropical greenhouse of the TSU Siberian Botanical Garden.

A few dozen butterfly orchids with white, pink, burgundy, and even green flowers are comfortably situated on a date palm. Such an unusual combination of plants from different continents can be found only in the TSU Botanical Garden. Many tropical orchids are epiphytes - plants that settle on tree trunks but do not harm them.

The orchid collection of the TSU Siberian Botanical Garden totals more than 400 species and varieties, and recently it has increased significantly - 40 new interesting varieties of the orchid phalaenopsis were presented by the patron Alexander Alexandrov.
