Appeal after break and enters at Gunnedah

Police are appealing for information after two homes were broken in to at Gunnedah today.

About 3.25am today (Friday 3 July 2020), a 57-year-old man in a house on the same street, was woken by a loud noise before hearing his bedroom door open.

The man confronted the intruder and he ran from the home.

Officers from Oxley Police District attended and commenced inquiries.

At 4am, officers were told an 81-year-old woman woke to see an unknown man running from her home at Palmer Crescent.

A 29-year-old man in the home later discovered a mobile phone and wallet missing.

Police have been told two women found and returned the wallet this morning, and police would like to speak with them.
