Appointment to Federal Circuit Court of Australia 7 August

I am pleased to announce that Ms Allyson Ladhams has been appointed as a judge of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia (FCC).

Ms Ladhams will commence in the Perth Registry on 23 August 2021. She was admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2009. Prior to being admitted as a solicitor, Ms Ladhams was an associate to Justice Antony Siopis at the FCC. She began practising as a solicitor at Peel Legal in 2010.

On behalf of the Australian Government, I congratulate Ms Ladhams on her appointment and thank her for her willingness to serve the people of Australia as a judge of the FCC.

Ms Allyson Ladhams

Ms Ladhams graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Western Australia in 2001 and 2007 respectively, and later with a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne in 2012.

Since 2011, Ms Ladhams has been a solicitor at the Australian Government Solicitor, becoming a Senior Lawyer in 2015. During her time at the Australian Government Solicitor, Ms Ladhams has specialised in administrative law, including a posting as an in-house lawyer at the National Offshore Petroleum, Safety and Environmental Management Authority in 2019.
