Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister, Assistant Minister for the Public Service
The Assistant Minister for the Public Service, the Hon Patrick Gorman MP, will launch the State of the Service Roadshow in Perth today.
More than 350 Australian public servants will gather for the first face-to-face Roadshow in Perth since 2019.
Building on the recent State of the Service Report, the Roadshow is a free event series for Australian public servants.
The Report features stories of Australian Public Service (APS) teams delivering support and services to the Australian people and their communities all over the country.
Public servants are there when we need them.
Like the social workers at Services Australia in Albany, supporting those in our regional communities to get the help they need when times are tough.
Or the Medicare Customer team, at Health Zone West in the Perth CBD. The team work every day to make sure that our healthcare system continues to give all Australians access to life-saving, affordable care when it's needed.
There are also public servants at the National Emergency Management Agency, who are currently support clean up and restoration efforts in areas affected by the recent Victorian floods.
The Albanese Government is ensuring our public servants can focus on delivering for their communities, while we build a stronger APS for everyone.
We are increasing transparency, with the establishment of the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
The Albanese Government is also minimising reliance on external consulting by creating an in-house consulting model, and introducing the Strategic Commissioning Framework.
Today's event is an opportunity for public servants to come together and hear from:
- Sharyn O'Neill PSM, Public Sector Commissioner, Western Australia Public Sector Commission.
- Dr Gordon De Brouwer PSM, Australian Public Service Commissioner.
- Denise Craig, National Manager, Services Australia.
Assistant Minister for the Public Service, Patrick Gorman, said the Roadshow plays an important role in connecting APS employees.
"With more than 170,000 employees across 104 agencies, the APS is making sure it upholds its commitment to being transparent and open to listening to its workforce".
"The Albanese Government is delivering on our promise to build a stronger public service."

Two, an APS that puts people and business at the centre of policy and services;
Three, an APS that is a model employer; and;

The APS Commissioner Gordon de Brouwer said "It is great to see a tremendous interest from APS employees."
