Armed person at Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast police have taken a man in custody after responding to a disturbance in Mountain Creek today, February 14.

Police were called at approximately 11.35am, after a man involved in the initial incident got into a car and began travelling north, allegedly armed with a firearm.

It will be further alleged the man was involved in several dangerous driving incidents on his way to Doonan, where he pulled over and was arrested without further incident.

Police have recovered one firearm from the vehicle.
