Arrest for Aggravated Robbery incident in Glendalough, WA

Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a 25-year-old woman from Mount Claremont after an incident on Sunday 28 October 2018 in which an 87 year-old-woman was injured.

The 87-year-old victim was waiting on Cayley Street adjacent to the Glendalough train station at around 12.15pm when it is alleged the offender walked up to the victim and grabbed her handbag, WA Police say.

During the incident it is alleged the victim was thrown to the ground which resulted in her receiving lacerations, grazing and bruising to her body and she was treated in hospital.

Police attended a short time later and their investigation led to the arrest of the 25-year-old woman a few hours after the incident.

The woman has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and she is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 29 October 2018.
