Arrest Made After Drug Parcel Intercepted

A Hallett Cove man will face court following the seizure of illicit drugs, including a large commercial quantity of LSD, as part of an ongoing Serious and Organised Crime Branch investigation.

In December 2025, police intercepted a suspicious parcel at Adelaide Airport. The parcel contained multiple samples of illicit drugs, including LSD, MDMA, cannabis, ketamine and psilocybin (magic mushrooms).

Further inquiries led detectives from the Serious Crime Task Force to execute a search warrant at a Hallett Cove address on Wednesday 27 May.

During the search, police allegedly located additional quantities of LSD, cannabis, psilocybin, and other controlled substances. Electronic devices believed to contain evidence of drug production and trafficking were also seized.

A 36-year-old Hallett Cove man was arrested and charged with trafficking a commercial quantity and a large commercial quantity of a controlled drug (LSD).

He was bailed to appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 16 July.

Investigations are continuing, with further charges expected pending forensic analysis and examination of digital evidence.

Police allege the drugs were part of a broader distribution method involving the use of postal services and online platforms.

Anyone with information about the sale or distribution of illicit drugs is urged to contact Crime Stoppers online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or call on 1800 333 000. You can remain anonymous.
