Arrest over stolen credit card, SA

A teenage girl has been arrested after she was found using an allegedly stolen credit card overnight, according to SA Police.

Just before 2.30am on Wednesday 4 October, police patrols were called to a service station on West Terrace following reports of a stolen credit card had been used to purchase a mobile phone.

On arrival, they spoke with a man who advised his credit card was stolen earlier in the night and he had checked his account to find it had been used to purchase two mobile phones at the service station.

A check on CCTV vision and details from the console operator revealed a teenage girl had allegedly made the purchases just minutes before police had arrived.

A search of the area located a 17-year-old girl who was in possession of the card and phones.

The Camden Park girl was arrested and charged with theft, unlawful possession, and breach of bail.

She is expected to be bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court at a later date.
