Arrests- Stolen Motor Vehicle In Darwin

Northern Territory Police have made multiple arrests after a motor vehicle was stolen from a residence in The Gardens.

Early this morning, police received reports that a Lexus and other personal items were stolen from a residence on St Johns Court, The Gardens.

A short time later, Strike Force Trident and Dog Operations Unit, located the stolen motor vehicle mounted on a kerb in Malak with 5 youths inside. The offenders fled on foot resulting in a foot pursuit throughout Malak and Marrara.

Police located and apprehended two females, aged 14 and 16, and two males, aged 14 and 15. A short time later, a 16 year-old male and an 18 year old male were arrested at a residence on Abbotts Court, Malak.

The 18, 16 and 15 year old male youths remain in custody with charges expected later today.

The 14 and 16 year old female youths and 14 year old male youth are being dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justices Act 2005.
