Police are investigating a fire in Box Hill South this morning.
It is believed three male offenders attended a property in a vehicle on Duncan Street about 5.10am.
The offenders attempted to set fire to a vehicle and mistakenly set fire to their own vehicle before they fled on foot.
Investigators believe the offenders may have sustained injuries during the incident.
Police are treating the incident as targeted.
A crime scene has been established and the investigation is ongoing.
