Ashurst advises Parklife Metro consortium on Sydney Metro

Global law firm Ashurst has advised Parklife Metro on its successful bid for the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project. The new metro line will be the transport spine for Greater Western Sydney, connecting commuters to the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport and the greater Western Sydney region.

The SSTOM contract was procured as a Public Private Partnership (PPP) package and included:

  • The construction of six new stations.
  • Installation of tracks and signalling.
  • Provision of rolling stock.
  • The operation and maintenance of the line and its assets.

Parklife Metro is a consortium comprising Plenary Group, Siemens Mobility, Siemens Project Ventures, Webuild and RATP Dev.
