Global law firm Ashurst has advised Parklife Metro on its successful bid for the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project. The new metro line will be the transport spine for Greater Western Sydney, connecting commuters to the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport and the greater Western Sydney region.
The SSTOM contract was procured as a Public Private Partnership (PPP) package and included:
- The construction of six new stations.
- Installation of tracks and signalling.
- Provision of rolling stock.
- The operation and maintenance of the line and its assets.
Parklife Metro is a consortium comprising Plenary Group, Siemens Mobility, Siemens Project Ventures, Webuild and RATP Dev.
