A woman has died following a head-on collision in Barongarook this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Colac-Lavers Hill Road scene, near Maggios Road, after reports two vehicles had collided about 7.20am.
Sadly a 55-year-old woman from Kawarren, the only occupant of one of the vehicles, died at the scene.
A 22-year-old woman from Mount Duneed, the sole occupant of the second vehicle, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Colac Highway Patrol are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
