The Asia Global Institute (AGI) will host its flagship forum, AsiaGlobal Dialogue (AGD) 2025, in person on November 21 at The University of Hong Kong (HKU).
Themed Navigating the Changing World Order: Paths to Sustainable and Inclusive Growth, AGD 2025 marks a significant milestone in the forum's history. Ten years after the seminal 2016 panel that explored the impact of technology on jobs and growth, Nobel Laureate Professor Michael Spence, AGI Chairman Dr Victor K Fung, and AGI Distinguished Fellow Andrew Sheng will reunite with AGI Director Professor Heiwai Tang to reflect on the decade of transformation and look ahead to the future shaped by artificial intelligence.
AGD 2025 will begin by revisiting the foresightful insights from a decade ago, insights that anticipated the tectonic shifts that have since reshaped our world. The dialogue will then turn to the human dimensions of AI—its ethical implications, its influence on our minds and bodies, and its role in reshaping social structures.
In the second half of the forum, the conversation will pivot to the evolving geopolitical landscape. Speakers will examine the realignment of global trade, the rise of a multipolar world, and the strategies Asia must adopt to build resilient, inclusive economies amid uncertainty and change.
