Assault at Wungong Dam in Bedfordale

Armadale Detectives are investigating an incident that occurred at Wungong Dam in Bedfordale on Friday 22 November 2019, which resulted in a man being injured.

Around 3pm, a man and a woman in their 20s went to the dam for a swim. Between 3.30pm and 4pm they were walking back to their car when they were approached by a group of people in a white SUV vehicle.

Two males exited the vehicle and threatened the victims, demanding they hand over their personal belongings.

One of the offenders tackled the male victim to the ground, assaulted him and threw rocks at him before grabbing a bag from his neck. During the incident the victim received a deep laceration to his leg and burn marks around his neck.

The offenders are described as being about 20 years of age, with dark skin, slim to medium builds, approximately 175cms tall, and black hair. One was wearing a blue shirt and shorts and the other was not wearing a shirt.
