Fremantle Detectives Rapid High Harm Offender Response Team have charged four men in relation to an attempted home burglary that occurred in Coolbellup on Wednesday, 9 September 2026.
It will be alleged; about 2am, three men attempted to force entry to a residence on Egeus Way via a rear sliding door.
It will be further alleged one of the men produced a replica firearm and threatened the male resident through the glass door.
The occupant contacted police and the three men fled the scene in a white Volkswagen sedan.
A short time later, police stopped the vehicle and arrested the three men.
During a search of the vehicle police allegedly located a replica firearm.
A 35-year-old man from Coolbellup and a 39-year-old man from Langford were charged with one count each of:
- Being Armed in a Way That May Cause Fear
- Unlawfully Possessed a Handgun, Prohibited Firearm, or Major Part of a Handgun or Prohibited Firearm
- Attempted Aggravated Home Burglary with Intent.
A 66-year-old man from Coolbellup was charged with one count of 'Attempted aggravated home burglary with intent'.
All three men are due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court today, 9 September 2026.
