Attempted stealing from ATM, WA

Regional Investigations Unit detectives have charged two men in relation to an incident in Roleystone yesterday (26 January 2019), where they attempted to steal from an ATM.

It will be alleged around 4.15am, the men forced entry into an area behind an ATM located within a shopping centre on Jarrah Road, WA Police say.

The men fled the area in a vehicle and where apprehended by police a short time later.

The men aged 39 and 33, both from Canning Vale, have been charged with Aggravated Burglary with Intent.

They are due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court (Northbridge) today, 27 January 2019.

Inquiries are ongoing and detectives will investigate if this incident is linked to other similar incidents that have occurred at ATMs located at a shopping centres on Wanneroo Road Westminister; Eddystone Ave Craigie; Station Street Subiaco and UWA Nedlands.
