About 3.30pm, a white Kia Carnival minivan was travelling east on Balwyn Road when, near Macquarie Drive, the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
The 28-year-old male driver and a seven-year-old passenger were conveyed to Bunbury Regional Hospital for treatment for serious injuries.
