Labor is backing Victoria's LGBTIQA+ communities with new funding to strengthen organisations, grow capability and boost their capacity.
Minister Ward today announced the 2025-26 LGBTIQA+ Organisational Development Grants round is open, encouraging organisations across the state to apply for a share of $400,000.
Established organisations can apply for up to $40,000, and newer organisations can apply for grants of up to $20,000.
The grants focus on creating equitable, inclusive and accessible services and building stronger and more sustainable LGBTIQA+ communities.
Previous recipients include Mallee Family Care who used funding to improve how community services are provided to LGBTIQA+ Victorians across the Mildura region.
Joel Bray Dance developed a strategic marketing strategy to better understand community needs and boost engagement with First Nations LGBTIQA+ communities.
Let's Talk About X Pty Ltd delivered their 'Branching Out: Regional Engagement Project', a targeted community strategy expanding the organisation's reach into regional Victoria.
In Victoria, equality is not negotiable and the Labor Government is supporting the LGBTIQA+ sector, with the Pride in our future: Victoria's LGBTIQA+ strategy 2022-32.
The grants program has helped more than 110 organisations develop their operations and expertise to work with LGBTIQA+ communities.
Applications close on Tuesday 31 March at 5pm. For more information and to apply, visit vic.gov.au/lgbtiqa-organisational-development-grants.
