Detectives have charged two more men with murder as part of investigations into the death of a 21-year-old man in Bahrs Scrub in July this year, bringing to 11 the total number of people charged in relation to this incident.
On 26 July 2026, police were called to a disturbance in Discovery Boulevard at Bahrs Scrub. As a result, police located a 21-year-old man unconscious and suffering significant head injuries. He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition but later passed away from his injuries.
Following continued investigations, Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and the Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) located and arrested the men at Eagle Farm and Goodna today, 8 October.
An 18-year-old Goodna man has been charged with one count of murder. He is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 9 October.
A 19-year-old Logan Reserve man has been charged with one count of murder. He is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on 9 October.
Detectives from Logan CIB and HIU continue to thank members of the community for the significant assistance, cooperation and support provided throughout the investigation.
Police particularly acknowledge residents, community leaders and representatives who have worked with investigators and encouraged members of the community to come forward with information.
