To envision what comes after Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's administration ends in three years, the Baker Institute's Center for the United States and Mexico has launched the Mexico 2025 and Beyond initiative. Sepúlveda will address his vision for the post-López Obrador era and the role of Nuevo León in building Mexico's future.
Key concerns about Mexico's democracy, politics, growing poverty and unstable fiscal policy will be discussed. The state of the country's public safety and security, the deterioration of strategic infrastructure and challenges in Mexico's education and health sectors are also major concerns, in addition to the future of its energy industry and its relationship with the United States.
