Bayside Seniors Festival 2026

Bayside Council is proud to once again take part in the NSW Seniors Festival, celebrating the vital role seniors play in shaping our vibrant community.

Council's new Seniors Festival program, redesigned based on feedback, delivers an exciting line-up of activities designed to connect, inspire and entertain.

The Bayside Seniors Festival, running from 2 to 15 March, features a wide range of free events and activities, giving seniors plenty of opportunities to meet new people, stay active or simply enjoy a great day out with friends.

One of this year's highlights is a sparkling morning of music and entertainment with Ratpack Reloaded at Rockdale Town Hall on Friday 6 March. This feel-good tribute performance brings the timeless charm of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. to life, celebrating the golden era of swing and crooners. With smooth vocals, stylish showmanship and beloved classics such as Fly Me to the Moon, My Way and New York, New York, the show promises a nostalgic and uplifting experience. Ratpack Reloaded is presented in partnership with SMA Productions Pty Ltd.

Singing enthusiasts can also look forward to two Seniors Singalong sessions at Botany Town Hall on Wednesday 4 March. Now in its third year, this popular event features The Lakes Singers and the Sing Your Heart Out Choir, offering a joyful chance to sing, dance, catch up with friends and relive the good old days.

There are plenty of opportunities for Bayside seniors to get active throughout the festival.

Bayside seniors will be able to enjoy a free round of golf at the Botany Golf Course from Monday 2 March to Friday 6 March.

Barton Park will host a fun, free, Seniors Sports Day on Thursday 5 March when seniors can try out a variety of low impact sports like tennis, walking football, table tennis and tai chi.

The Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre is offering free pool entry for seniors from Monday 9 to Friday 13 March.

Seniors wanting to try Pickleball can book a social session at Arncliffe Youth Centre.

Seniors wanting to gain confidence using technology and the internet can try Tech Savvy Seniors hosted in Bayside libraries.

Bayside Libraries also host a variety of social activities, including a book club, knitting and craft groups, and a Chess Club.

The full program of events is available on Council's website. While most activities are free, bookings are recommended to secure a place.
