About 8.10am, a white Holden Commodore station wagon was travelling south on the Brand Highway when near Boonanarring Road, the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
The driver, a 57-year-old man, sustained critical injuries and was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment but sadly, he died two days later.
