Belmont fire investigation and stolen car

Arson Squad detectives are seeking information in relation to a stolen BMW vehicle which was sighted in the vicinity of two fires at a business located on Belvidere Street in Belmont during September 2022.

The first fire at the business occurred about 3.30am on Monday, 19 September and the second occurred about 12.25am on Tuesday, 20 September 2022. Arson Squad detectives arrested and charged two men in relation to these fires.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives are seeking information from anyone who saw a black BMW 3 series station sedan, WA Registration 1HKM917 between 22 March and 20 September 2022 in the areas of Girrawheen, Koondoola and Balga.

The BMW was stolen from a home in Wellard on 22 March 2022 and was recovered burnt out on Alhambra Parkway in Landsdale on 20 September.
