Beloved singer-songwriter to help bring Jane Eyre to life at Townsville Civic Theatre

Australian singer-songwriter Sarah McLeod will help bring the classic Charlotte Brontë novel Jane Eyre to life on Wednesday 2 November at Townsville Civic Theatre.

This stunning new production features original music written by multi-ARIA Award winner McLeod, with the former The Superjesus singer/guitarist and solo star also a member of the cast that will bring this stellar show together for Townsville residents.

A faithful yet fiercely original new stage adaptation of the classic tale, Jane Eye comes from the nationally renowned shake & stir theatre co.

Committee Chairperson for Community and Cultural Development Cr Ann-Maree Greaney said bringing this wildly successful production to Townsville was a real coup for the city and encouraged locals to support the show.

"We are thrilled to be able to bring this incredible production, which has received rave reviews right across the country, to the Civic Theatre for the people of Townsville," Cr Greaney said.

There will be a 10.30am and 7pm show at the Civic Theatre on Wednesday 2 November, with tickets available from $25.
