Biennial Water And Sewer Survey Underway

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) is undertaking its biennial Water Supply and Sewerage Customer Satisfaction Survey.

The survey examines overall water supply and sewerage service delivery across the Local Government Area (LGA) and forms part of Council's 2024 - 2026 Water Supply and Sewerage Customer Service Plan.

The survey will be conducted by external provider Micromex. Residents across the LGA may receive a phone call from 02 8271 0200 inviting them to participate.

Phone numbers will be selected at random, and no personal information will be requested. Micromex will use publicly available contact information purchased through a commercial third party, with participant privacy maintained throughout the process.

The survey will commence on 23 March 2026. Researchers are seeking a minimum of 500 participants, with the survey to be undertaken by phone using a mix of mobile and landline numbers.

DRC Manager Operations Water Supply and Sewerage Bec Eade said residents were encouraged to take part in the survey and share their views.

"It is important that we understand the community's expectations of, and satisfaction with, our water supply and sewerage services."

"The survey should only take a few minutes to complete and consists of a small number of short answer questions," Ms Eade said.

The survey findings and results, together with the Draft Water Supply and Sewerage Customer Service Plan, will be presented to Council at an Ordinary Council Meeting for endorsement prior to being placed on public exhibition.

Residents with direct questions about service levels who do not receive a phone call are invited to contact Council via DRC&Me, by phoning 6801 4000 or emailing [email protected] with their enquiry and contact details so staff can respond.
