Blacktown city centre brimmed with activity and colour as the community enjoyed a celebration of food, art and music on Saturday.
Families took over Main Street and the Warrick Lane precinct, which were closed to traffic, as part of Blacktown City Council's FAM Fest.
Musicians including Groove Pilot and the Stacey Street Band entertained spectators, while artists creating murals and rooftop projections fascinated others.
Blacktown City Mayor Brad Bunting said FAM Fest showed how brilliant Blacktown could be.
"We are lucky to have many great events and spaces in Blacktown City that are well-served by public transport, and it's good to see people supporting them in numbers," he said.
Cr Bunting thanked the NSW Government for its support.
FAM Fest is funded by the NSW Government's Open Streets Program, led by Transport for NSW.
The event entertained people well into the night, with musical performances, karaoke, food vendors and neon art installations.
