Residents of Cardinia Shire can now take practical steps towards reducing household energy costs and environmental impacts with the help of free Home Energy and Water Efficiency Kits.
These kits are developed in partnership with the Energy Innovation Cooperative and available through local Myli libraries, designed to help households assess and improve their energy and water efficiency. With tools like a Power-Mate energy meter, thermal imaging camera, and water flow measuring cup, residents can identify areas for improvement and make small changes with big savings.
The kits are available to borrow free of charge with an adult library membership through Myli's Library of Things program. They are ideal for anyone looking to make their home more comfortable, reduce utility bills, and lower carbon emissions.
This initiative is part of Cardinia Shire Council's broader commitment to environmental sustainability, which includes resources like the Home Energy Improvement Handbook developed in partnership with Federation University.
