Kalgoorlie Police are seeking information regarding an incident in Boulder on Saturday 12 February 2022, during which a bottle shop staff member was assaulted.
Sometime after 11:00am a staff member at a drive through bottle shop in Boulder refused service to the occupants of a vehicle due to them not providing any ID or proof of COVID-19 vaccination, which is required.
The driver was asked by the staff member to leave the bottle shop as he was unable to serve them and the vehicle they were in was blocking other vehicles.
A passenger exited the vehicle and punched the staff member to his face. He returned to the vehicle and the driver drove away.
The investigation is ongoing.
