Council is currently repairing a potable water main break on Bourke Street between Clinton Street and Verner Street, with crews currently on-site undertaking excavation and replacement works on the damaged section of the water main.

Water supply has now been restored to residents and businesses, with the exception of the Marian Villas, where supply is expected to be reinstated by approximately 4:00pm, subject to site conditions encountered during excavation.

Residents may experience low water pressure and some temporary discolouration while the network stabilises. Council reassures residents that the water remains safe, and the water discolouration will clear once the reticulation is flushed out and the network stabilises.

Traffic management measures have been put in place to guide motorists safely through the area. Drivers are urged to follow all posted signage and traffic control instructions to ensure their safety and the safety of Council workers. For regular updates on traffic conditions, please see https://www.livetraffic.com/.

Council acknowledges the temporary inconvenience and appreciates the community's patience and cooperation during this time.

Council continues to implement an ongoing maintenance and replacement program across the water network targeting ageing infrastructure.
